Long time lurker first time poster seeking any and all thoughts on how to improve 3rd down defense (or pass d in general). I play as the Cardinals in online franchise (PHI D Playbook). I can't seem to find a way to slow down spread formations (i.e. 3+ WR). It's killing me on 3rd down. I've tried a mix of zone, man, zone/man blitz out of dime, nickel, etc.

Any tips, tricks, suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

man coverage with zones in it is great. Coming out of a 3 man front, dropping 2 guys in purple zones and 2 guys in yellow zones while controlling a guy in a yellow zone is great coverage. Make sure you keep those outside WR's in man coverage though. Those are the ones that cause the most trouble.

@ MGB - I never thought to try that. Good suggestion! A couple of more detailed questions:

1. Any particular package (dime, nickel, dollar) work better than any other?

2. Is it better to purple underneath/yellow over top defenders?
