46) Rocket Catch for Madden 10
a) Use any passing play. Hot Route any of the Outside WR’S to streak
route.
b) When the WR gets downfield past 10-30 yards.
c) Throw a Bullet Pass and pass lead down toward the outside. (Try using
the
d-pad to pass lead)
d) You want to wait until the last possible second to click on your WR.
e) When you click on your WR, using the Left Stick or d-pad and the
Catch Button,
hold down and slightly to the inside(Example: if you are on the right
side of the field,
hold down and to the left). You need to do all this at the same time.
You will need to practice this, after you get it down your opponent will
have a tough time
stopping you. Madden 10 is a little different on defense and the
defender can also go for the
Rocket Catch. This is a little different from last year, but if you were
able to get it down last
year, this should not be that hard.
47) Rocket Catch (Another Way)
a) Pick any play that has a deep post route. No Adjustments. Snap the
Ball.
b) Look for the WR running the Post Route, wait for him to break to the
inside.
c) Throw the pass with pass lead to the inside, if his route is on the
right
side of the field, and then pass lead to the right.
d) Right when the pass is getting to the WR, hold the catch button for
the Rocket Catch.
48) Rocket Catch (Third Way)
a) Pick a passing play.
b) Place one of your Outside WR’S to do an Out Route.
c) Extend the Out Route. Snap the Ball.
d) Watch the WR you placed on the Out Route.
e) Wait a second after he cuts to the sideline.
f) Throw a Bullet Pass with Pass Lead Up.
g) Click on the WR, then hold down and to the inside with the Catch
Button.
49) Rocket Catch (Easy Way)
a) Place your tallest WR with good jump rating at Left Outside WR.
b) Place the Left Outside WR on a Fade.
c) Snap the Ball.
d) Let the WR get down the field about 20 – 25 yards.
e) Throw a Bullet Pass and lead to the outside sideline.
f) ASAP click on the WR Icon, and then hold down on the Right Analog
Stick.
This method should help those that are struggling with the Rocket Catch.
Give this a
try in practice mode. I would also suggest in practice, use the offense
only first, then
add defense when you think you are getting the hang of it.
50) Sideline Rocket Catch (Another Easy Way)
a) Place either Outside WR on an Out Route, and then extend his route.
b) Snap the Ball.
c) Watch the WR; when he is about 1 or 2 yards from the sidelines.
d) Throw a bullet pass with pass lead up.
e) Click on the WR and then hold down on the Right Analog Stick.
Make sure if you run this in a game you have a quick dump off if your
opponent is
running the blitz. Also make sure you use your best WR with high jump
rating for the
Rocket Catch.
51) Jet Pack Madden 10
a) Pick any play from Shotgun Normal.
b) Place the Left Outside WR on a streak.
c) Snap the Ball.
d) Throw the ball with pass lead to the middle of the field. With the
Left
Analog stick going to the right.
e) When you release the ball, take control of the Left Outside WR.
f) You will now proceed to cut towards the pass.
g) Hold the Catch Button.
This is similar to the Rocket Catch, but will take a little more
practice. You will have
to time this better than the Rocket Catch. This concept will help you
beat most
coverage’s, whether it is Zone or Man. Again, Practice, Practice,
Practice.
52) Spectacular Catching Madden 10
a) You need to do this with a WR with 90 or over spectacular catch
rating
b) Pick any play from Shotgun Normal.
c) Place your Left Outside WR on a streak.
d) Snap the Ball.
e) Throw the ball with pass lead to the middle of the field. With the
Left
Analog stick; going to the right.
f) When you release the ball, take control of the Left Outside WR and go
toward the pass.
The only difference is between this catch and the Jet Pack, is that you
are allowing
the WR to make the Catch. The catch depends on your WR.
53) Using the Smart Route.
a) Smart Routes lets you choose any WR/TE/RB receiver and extending his
route past the first down mark.
b) Performing the Smart Route wait until everyone is set.
c) Choose the receiver (you can either keep the receiver in the route he
is in or give
him a different route) If you choose to keep the receiver in his
original route. Now
you will see his route will be extended past the first down marker.
54) Using the Catch Animation.
a) The thing about the Catch Animation to where your WR gets to the ball
and looks as if he will not make it.
b) ASAP when you click on the WR, Press the Turbo Button down and then
the Catch Button.
